PEBBLES STONE REPLACEMENT WORKS

1. Hacking and Disposal of Existing Tiles

Supply the necessary manpower, tools, and equipment to hack and remove the existing floor tiles and underlying materials to an approximate depth of 45–60mm. The existing tiles, adhesive, screed or loose substrate will be carefully removed to expose a suitable and sound base for the new flooring system. All hacking debris and unwanted materials will be collected, removed from the work area, and disposed of appropriately. The exposed surface will then be cleaned and prepared for the subsequent works.

2. Application of W1 Cement Strengthener

Supply W1 Cement Strengthener, manpower, materials, tools, and necessary equipment to treat the prepared substrate. The cement strengthener will be applied according to the required application method to improve the strength, bonding performance, and stability of the existing substrate. The surface will be properly cleaned and prepared before application to ensure effective adhesion. Adequate time will be allowed for the treatment to set before proceeding with the screeding works.

3. Cement Screeding Works – 35–50mm

Supply manpower, cement/screeding materials, tools, and equipment to carry out floor screeding to an approximate thickness of 35–50mm. The screed will be laid over the prepared substrate and properly compacted, levelled, and finished to achieve a uniform and stable base. Appropriate levels and falls will be maintained where required, particularly in areas where proper drainage is necessary. The finished screed surface will be checked for levelness, evenness, and suitability before proceeding with the pebble stone installation. The screed will be allowed sufficient curing time before the next stage of work.

4. Pebble Stone Installation Works

Supply the required pebble stones, installation materials, manpower, tools, and equipment to carry out the complete pebble stone installation. The prepared screed surface will be checked before installation. The pebble stones will be carefully laid and positioned according to the required layout, ensuring proper alignment, spacing, level, and overall appearance. The installation will be carried out systematically to achieve a firm and durable finish.

After installation, the surface will be properly adjusted and finished to ensure the pebble stones are securely fixed and the completed area has a neat, level, uniform, and aesthetically pleasing appearance. Final cleaning will be carried out to remove excess installation materials and construction residue from the completed pebble stone surface.
